Cordillera Huayhuash

The Huayhuash
circuit is one
of the classic
trekking circuits
in the World.
The Huayhuash
mountain range
is very compact
and steep. It
is also home to
the second highest
mountain of Peru:
Yerupaja Grande
(6634 m). Visitors
will see snow-capped
peaks, glaciers,
blue lagoons full
of trout and beautiful
scenery every
day of the circuit.
There are eight
high passes to
cross: the highest
has an altitude
of 5000 m! The
circuit is not
too difficult
to complete but
a certain degree
of physical condition
is required.
